I think its safe to say all his excitement has been flushed away after all these comments. Hopefully he does take some of this feedback and decide against dropping in that POS turbo.
When i first posted it was on my phone and the pic was pretty small but on an actual comp that intercooler looks even worse.
Even if they shipped a mint intercooler without packaging i'll bet it would come in better shape than that.

A manifold is at least 600 a turbo could be around 2000 with accesories (sp)

At least thats what it is for my jetta....maybe saturn is MUCH cheaper.

Yeah, a good new FMIC is roughly $1000, a brand new Garrett GT28RS is roughly $1300. But when buying used on a budget, you can probably find a decent enough stock sr20 t25 for $300~400. The only stuff that I got used or have a cheapo version of aside from the motorset is turbo timer, and gauges. Any of the important bits I wouldn't cheap out on.

this is where the budget comes in to play, there is a brand new T3/04 on sale here on beyond for 650??...
