Hey everyone, I've been lurking around for a while, and only just finally registered...

Just wondering if anyone in Calgary has a chain riveter I could make use of for a few minutes. I'm doing my sprockets, cush rubbers and chain (x-ring) on my Hawk and I don't want to pay someone to do 5 minutes of work, when all I need is the tool.

I'll bring beer! Reply here or send me an email, thanks!

Ive changed my chain and sprockets without a chain tool, its pretty easy...

If you can put enough force to make the pins stick out ( I used a c clamp with a washer over the pin so it could stick out while the c clamp was pushing the link together ) Once the pin is sticking out all you need to do is flare the tip out which is pretty easy to do with a small phillips screw driver and a hammer.

BUT! This is not the recommended way, and if it done wrong you can run into MAJOR problems, and damages.

Good luck!
