I am having troubles getting to sleep alot in the past months.

When I go to sleep, my legs start to cramp up a little and get the feeling that I have to move them , stretch them, or try to crack my ankle bones. It prevents me from sleeping, then the muscles start to pulsate a little and I have to keep kicking my legs open. I am at the point where I stay up for 2 days just to have my body force itself to sleep.

Anybody know where I can start to figure this out?

Also make sure you keep your potassium levels up. good sources are cantaloupes, bananas, tomatoes, grapefruits and orange juice.

Legs cramps happen for different reasons, but for low potassium a banana or two a day works for me.

+1

If you are still having trouble with the sleep Meletonin works well for a lot of folks.

ZMA is also something to try (one or the other, both is over kill) I know I sleep like a baby while taking it.

Good luck

Yes Melatonin works great. Just remember to take it around 5 or 6. It's not something you take just before you go to bed.

You can by Melatonin in different MG ranging from 3 - 9 mg. Our family Dr said after 5 mg is enough. You only use it when you are going through a bad time sleeping and then quit.

Do you exercise everyday?

I used to have the same problem until I started going to the gym.

i agree with that... i have to feel tired to in order to fall asleep.. either gym, or long day at work/school or a hard day of partying puts me to sleep good... but watching tv/vids all evening will keep me up because i don't feel tired after those things.
