Well first it was the supra, and now the LF-A is never going to be going into production. It will be a development platform. Neat

Former Nissan racer, NSX development driver and Nurburgring legend Motoharu "Gan-san" Kurosawa reckons, "Toyota are good at making money, but they're no good at making sports cars."

haha, but seriously, I won't pay $225K for the LF-A when a Audi R8 can be had for $150.

I guess this will probably doom Honda NSX and it's V10 engine. Because NSX was tagged @ $200K as well.

So true. They haven't had a good sports car for a while.

Yea seriously with all the money Toyota is making they could easily afford to make a super sports car without even breaking the bank.

Hopefully the GTR will show them how its done when its available everywhere.

GTR uses a lot of existing parts. The engine is just VQ with turbo, hence the relatively low price.

dont hold your breath. honda is the company that never even made a v8 truck... they really dont like big displacement, and that has really worked for them. so i wouldnt doubt if they just keep it as a concept.

Honda and Toyota share the same strategy. They will never build anything that won't turn a profit.

Clarity is more a PR/field research vehicle.

Dear Toyota.

Please take your 3.5L V6 and stuff it into a stripped down coupe based on the IS.

Hugs and Kisses,
Keegan

American manufactures wonder why they are going broke building SRT8 Challengers and 400 horsepower SUV's.

There is a reason why Ford sells way more V6 mustangs than GT's, people don't want to spend the $$$. Toyota, Nissan and Honda have figured this out a long time ago and virtually everything they make seems to sell ok.

Maybe Pontiac should make the Aztec II along with the new G8 GXP.

i dont even know where to start correcting you...

everyone was making SUV's because THEY WERE SELLING
including Toyota and even Honda gave it a go...

NOBODY saw this rapid change in the market coming... INCLUDING your beloved Toyota which was forced to shut down its BRAND NEW truck factory because they arent selling them. (it was since re-tooled to make small cars)

the domestics are all working very hard on improving their small car offerings and bringing more to market, all you need to do is read once and a while and try to figure out whats going on.

More than likely not... the GS350awd is priced so low that if you want power and awd it would make more sense to get the GS.

This deserved a new thread --- I wasn't expecting to see "LF-A confirmed" in a "LF-A canned thread"!

Toyota wants to join Porsche in the Nissan shaming festivities!
