Gyms in N.E.

Anyone know any good gyms around the N.E.?

Prices etc.

Golds?
WHC?
Liesure Center?
NESS?
WOW?
World Gym?

I'm just looking for a monthly pass, if someone who goes to any of the above gyms can provide me with some details.

i pay $40/month at World gym with no contract but i've been there for 3 years now

Geez, I'm paying 48 bux a month at Gold's gym and I had to pay 30 bux admin fee. I reckon that's quite dear now compared to what some of you blokes are paying!!

For the guys that are paying twenty and thirty something, did you have to pay a huge admin fee or something? Also, how are the facilities in comparison to Gold's gym?

i payed like 100 admin fee, and it sucks compaired to golds to be honest lol

I didnt have to pay any sign up fee, has towel service, steam room and starting to expand the mens change room increasing the showers/lockers.

Anybody have opinions about Cardel? Looks like it gets packed in the gym. (sorry for the hijack). Believe it's around $50/month.

Thanks for the replies guys. I'm looking for somethign decent and cheap. So far world gym sounds the most appealing.

I left there because I was tired of douchebags putting their weights in front of the racks and having to wait 20min to get on any machines.

World Gym isnt the most asthetically pleasing, but its exactly what you need if you just want to go workout:thumbsup:

Cardel can get busy. I heard good stuff about Northland Golds. I go to Crowfoot YMCA myself, and have 10 pass to Heavens. Good for now.

For NE, haven't been to World Gym but sound like a good deal.

WOW is 'decent'.


Everything is new, not too busy. I paid 200 dollars a year while I went there because I brought in my 3 year expired student card.
