View Full Version : Horsepower of your Daily Driver

I was just curious about this, how much the average beyonder has on their daily driver. If you have two, pick the higher of the two.

This is pretty easy to understand, if you have a stock car as your daily driver, click the circle that corresponds with its horsepower. If you have a stock car with modifcations, click the box that corresponds with your dyno'ed horsepower accomadating for drivetrain loss (multiply by 1.15).

Also, your Civic Si with 158hp stock, does not have 200hp due to a homemade CAI, a "powered by MTX" sticker, and no spare tire.

LRT about 400hp per U2 car, Bus about 280 if your on one of the newer ones. But don't count them because you don't drive it.

Best guess. 200HP?
ca18det swap on stock turbo cranked to 11psi on catless downpipe and cone filter.

I'm loving my lil' 1.8L engine rolling and idling on Deerfoot traffic. But due to the burn gas like crazy mode that the turbo provides, my gas mileage is MUCH worse than when I had the ka24de.

oh that makes some sense... yes its a dual coming out of the motor (V6) then through 4 cats, then is mated to a single outlet.. would it be beneficial to get it redone so it doesn't get funnel into one exhaust outlet?

Eleanor

^I'd just get rid of it entirely ;)

But seriously, I wouldn't know. I'm sure there's huge debate as to whether or not V-x engines are better with dual exhaust or single.

I would guess full dual would be better, it makes it easier to create less flow restriction, but if you've still got cats in it I don't know if that would matter. Singles generally tend to be lighter weight, so that comes into play.

You'd probably have to browse some Tacoma forums and see what other people have been getting with various aftermarket exhausts because I'm not at all familiar with them.

yah, been looking around, and all the exhausts for the Tacoma tend to go to a single outlet, so it may be better that way... I'm looking at a Banks Monster Exhaust system for my truck... gonna dig around some more... :)
