This is the first time since buying my first car in November that I am replacing my windshied wipers. I wanted to know which ones too look for and which ones to avoid and whats a good price point.

I was looking at these Teflon winter wipers (http://www.canadiantire.ca/browse/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442509783&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=1408474396672433&bmUID=1220074802747&deptid=null&ctgrid=null&subctgrid=null) does anyone have any experience with this product?

Also parts source is selling Bosch Excel wipers starting at $12.99. I can't find any good information on these wipers, has anyone used them before?

Thanks!

I bought a pair of the teflon wipers last october from canadian tire and the work pretty good. It wipes smooth and it doesnt shutter. but doesnt work that great in like -20 weather. Ive also tried them reflex wipers from wally world and wasnt too impressed with them. then again I bought them at clearance at @ $4.97 last year so I guess I got what I paid for. other than that I'm still using my teflons .

Thanks for the tip.

If anyone is having problems with there rear windsheild wiper on a honda civic hatch don't use a 15'' wiper. I bought one today thinking that my stock wiper was broken, but it didnt change a thing. I tried on a 20'' wiper on my civic hatch and it worked like a charm.

Reflex blades are overrated. I didnt really notice a difference between them and the OEM blades. I think they didnt even last as long. The best Ive had so far are Rainx weatherbeaters.

I've had reflex wipers on my stealth for over 2 years of daily driving and they're still like new- I'm definitely happy with them

I buy cheap metal blades and change them every season. That way I don't have to worry that I ruin my blades by trying to scrape ice off a warming windshield.

Not to thread highjack, but since it's on the topic, how do some people manage to get more than a year's (or more) worth of use out of their wiper blades? Is there a certain way to maintain them or something? I find I'm always changing wipers every 6-9 months regardless of what brand I use.

Rain-x, I use my wipers half as much in the rain. Plus, it makes shitty wipers do an ok job.

Ding! Cheap metal blade ones work EXCELLENT when new. Buy the regular metal blades for summer and the covered in rubber winter ones for winter. Replace them every six months. DONE DEAL! *most metal blades are like $6.99 each at cambodian tire, so it is super cheap as well*

I've replace the wipers on my vehicle and the wife's with the Rain-x (Canadian Tire) and they work WAY better than the OEM ones.
