I was wondering if anybody knew where a person might be able to purchase these thingy majiggers in Calgary...

I think they're called axial resistors..?? Anyways, I added a picture just in case..

And if anybody can give any info on the specific one I'm looking for... The one I want to replace has 4 colored bands and its yellow-orange-orange-gold

Thanks all.

ooh me me :P

It's a 43k Ohm resistor, 5% tolerance, and if it's tiny like those it's 1/4 watt. You can pick them up at any electronics store such as:

Active Components
291-5626
2015 32nd Ave NE

B&E Industrial Electronics
243-7211
444 Manitou Rd SE

MRO Electronic Supply
291-0501
5 - 1247 36 Ave NE <-- they moved, I think they're on 34th Ave now??

Dirrrrt... $10 for a roll of 25. lol.

Depends on quantity, but definatly not a ton.

4-packs of 1/4 watt resistors are typically within a few cents of $2. At active or MRO you'll find a whole section of the wall just for resistors. Pretty rare they don't have what you need.
