its pretty cool car, but I don't think its any match for a 97 GMC Safari.

Mopar 2.2 turbo, never underestimate it. I made that mistake early this year when I pulled up beside Killer K, she had the stock lookin wheels on too so I thought this is gonna be Murda! Murder it was as she smoked the tires through first and blew to a 14.3 ET while I putted along with a 16.6. Now she has slicks and is using race gas and she is always in the low 13's. I'll never look at a plymouth reliant the same way again!

could have also been my buddy chris, he runs 21+ psi on a daily basis. you would be suprised how close to stock it is...
180,000 km's, mild ported head, stock t3, probe GT intercooler, 3 inch exhaust, more boost, bigger injectors.

the turbo dodge bottom end with 100,000 km's can easily handle over 20 psi with proper amounts of fuel.

the one downside is that the 8v head flows like crap.

all togeather i think he has less than 2 grand into the car.

well supposedly, someone said 27 psi, and the guy only put 1000$ work into it.....

Yep, that was Chris..... I'm to cheap to bother with a gimick like a blow off valve ;)

You can tell our Omni's apart.... he has no rear bumper, he has fog lights that work, he has the blow off, and most importantly, he is fugly, and I am S-E-X-Y :D

Our cars are pretty close, both have run high 13's. Mine is retired for a few weeks till I got time to fix the hole in the rad, my bagged rear shocks, and a bad tie rod or ball joint....or whatever is making the car change lanes all by itself :poosie:

LOL..... MAYBE $1000 INCLUDING the car...if that ;)

I was not as lucky..... I got mine for $1200, then spent about another $300.
$1500 for 13 second car....not bad.

LOL, the omni GLHT dominated the title of quickest production FWD I believe until another turbo dodge stole it (IROC R/T)

Think of it as a 1st gen SRT-4 :D

I bet your Benz won't run a 13 sec 1/4 for $300 of mods though will it.

To each his own...

just do what chris did, find the hole, crush that one cooling line, but i think he may have a spare rad that is in mint shape if you want it.
