The silver one I posted above had 31k miles... so like 50,000 kms..
Maybe a little high but it said it had full service history included..
I've seen them before with 18-20k miles advertised for around $105k in the US.

I'd have to assume that they are complete shitboxes by 15k miles.. even at 5k miles they are a bit overextended I think. Anyway, was a thought.. I can't even imagine how painful the service must be as those things tack on some miles.. if the servicing prices are anything like Murcielagos, it should drive the prices even lower as people who get in over their heads have to drop them.

Yep 10% is owned by Audi I think.
It shares the same platform as the R8.. I believe the R8 engine is a tuned-down Gallardo engine.

Word.... so very very true. I'm honest to God amazed at some of the prices. They had a '98 Diablo Roadster for $249k. You can get one for about half that down in the states... yet somebody still bought it, as now that same said diablo is in Ontario.

04-05 gallardos are complete junk and thats why they are cheaper. 06+ are a completly different car.

I don't think you will ever see a canadian 06+ gallardo for under $150k even in 5 years from now.

Also I know for a fact that the lamborghini dealerships in canada won't help u if u import one from the states, and iv been told the compliance letter is $40,000 from lamborghini.

There were so many proplems with 04 gallardos.

they now have a different tranny with a different clutch and the egear was completly changed in 06.

They now have a "lift system" thats really nice. i use mine all the time, press one button and it lifts the car 6 inches and press it again and down u go. They added that when they realized the car was to low.

There are alot of other little mechanical things that have made the car daily driveable now.

yea I heard a few lambo's made it in when US Lamborghini dealers would give Canadians free recall letters with every purchase haha.
But then Lamborghini Canada stopped that quickly by saying they must be issued by Lamborghini Canada to be valid.

And like what you are saying, the 06+ seem to be holding there values alot better then the 04 and 05s... Seeing you can buy an 04 for $140k now..

but try now lol, also it would suck to have a lambo that if it breaks down would be a bitch to get fixed cause the only dealership in western canada is to busy with loyal customers.

Canadian 04/05 =150,000ish
Canadian 06/07= 200,000+

I didn't realize they were that different.. the only one I have driven was an 04.. I will have to look into it further, but what you say makes sense, they were pieces of shit.

As for them being Audis, the R8 uses a different motor (a version of the RS4 motor) but shares the chassis and other parts.. the R8 is supposed to be fantastic though, so maybe it is more like the newer Gallardos. They might put the V10 and/or a diesel v12 in the R8 eventually.
