brake rotors question.

hey got a question for the experts, I just picked up some new brake pads and rotors the other day and I was about to install them when a co worker told me that ceramic pads will wear down the rotors super prematurely but the rotors and pads are Wagner brand will they be compatible or will I have to change out warped rotors in 2 months??
