Does anyone seen a rack-mountable USB hub in town or on the internet? I need one with at least 6 ports but more the better.

1U shelf, regular hub, velcro.

Cheaper than anything you'll find for rackmount USB hubs. That said, somebody out there has to make one...

That's the route I probably have to take but was hoping someone would market an already made device that doesn't look ghetto and throw some support behind it.

Support? Having trouble figuring out which way the USB connector faces?

I think he means physical support for the connectors...

Those clip-in USB ports look neat, but I doubt they are worth the cost / potential trouble. If you absolutely have to have the look they are the best option for you, but you'd still need a normal USB hub and some cables. You could mount it on a shelf behind the plate if you like. I'd skip on it if the rack was ever being moved though.

I would rather pay to chuck and replace the device instead of spending time to rebuild and troubleshoot a faulty cable/port/hub.

It's way cheaper.

Also in term of liability, if I built it and it broke, it's my fault. If vendor device failed, it's the vendor's fault.
