with a drag 2 vtec turbo kit on my jdm h22a how possible would it be for me to hit 330hp on it?
the h22a is 200hp standalone, vfac..

or is there a better turbo kit? im not getting it this year it will have to be once the car comes out from winter..
if not what would it take to hit 330 or even 350? with a buget of 5-6k

you'd have to lower your compression ratio for it to be reliable I think. Plus other internal reenforcment I think (to be reliable).

I'm not sure what kind of numbers boosted H22's are putting out exactly but 15-20 psi, golden eagle sleeves and rods /w Arias, jg or endyne pistons, portflow/ferrera valvetrain, arp, ..etc... comes to mind....

Yes you can reach 330hp.
But not with out spending more than $5-6K.

330hp is a lot for stock internals to handle.

What kind of mods do you have so far? If you want to run that kind of power reliably you are gonna have to at least double that budget....AT LEAST.

First off the JDM H22a has an 11:1 compression ratio thats high for a turbo vehicle, second an h22a can only handle 300 max horse with stock internals, note AT MOST, so internal work is a must, and upgraded fuel managment, DRAG is a very good kit, but if you plan to run it with just the stock motor right now , I would say 5psi would be safe for daily driving, this is not a cheap investment, good luck

Just buy a 150 shot of NAWWWS and your set! Seriously tho, why 330hp? is there a reason you chose that number and not 300 or something else?

I wonder if the Gen 4 drag kits are out yet?

I think that it is possible with a hondata and injectors with the turbo kit.

I think it would cost a lot more. Remember the thread about how much everyone has spent on their car?

There is no way you can have 350hp without upgrading your internals. How much boost do you plan on running?

i said 330 or 350 was curious if it was possible
i would be happy with 300hp, i would think the car would be pretty quick. and daily driver is a must!

didnt mean 300whp

I still think you are going to have to pretty much double your budget to run a reliable 300whp. That is unless you can to most of the tuning/install yourself. Or if you are talking nitrous.

This appears to be on stock internals. But I have to say I have that kit on my car (minus the water injection) and it never worked really good.

well we knew the Prelude could make 280whp, but he wanted 330whp.:dunno:

common man, you gotta be realistic! I mean, it's like saying that you can get 310 whp with an fmax kit!!! Dems be a lot of ponies!!!!

His post mentions 330hp, not 330whp. Thus my confusion. 330hp ~= 280 whp.
