What does being in canada have to do with anything?

Some folks change their Acura logos to hondas because the "japanese" version of the car is only known as a Honda and they are going for that theme.

Those converting a Honda to an Acura one are just ricers....

Unless you are converting an RSX-S to look exactly like a DC5-R the Honda logo almost never makes sense...

I've seen acura to honda but honda to acura . The only people I've seen that change their emblems are people who try to convert their rsx into a dc5.

No, either way it goes, it's still rice. If I see an Integra Type R badge on an RSX, thats rice. If I see an RL with Legend emblems, thats rice.

You know what it doesn't matter whats on the outside it's whats under the hood that counts, unless its right hand drive !!!!!!

so what.. if its RHD then it doesn't matter whats under the hood ?

so in terms of what's under the hood, is it better to drive a 4 cylinder VTEC (fast) honda than to drive a 3.0 V6 twin turbo (not as fast) ?

I believe that if you're going to change emblems then you might as well just debadge the thing.

What's "higer horsepower"? Some type of japanese hippopotamus/tiger hybrid? Is it more powerful than a regular tiger?

Higer is a Japanese philosophy that values hp/torque above all else, you dumbass.

I saw a black dude driving a base Civic with a half-falling-off body kit, fartcan and Acura emblems. First time I've seen a Honda "upgraded" to Acura status, almost fell over

This is a trick question

Neither have "Higher Horsepower" since neither of them are horses!

You have answered your own question ..

Yes, they just want to LOOK STUPID!!!

Few yrs ago .. I thought some kids with their Acura, and their logo was stolen, then bought the Honda logo, since they were cheaper ($10 vs $15 ?)

But then .. after I have seen more and more .. I got the answer too .. some people just want to LOOK STUIPD.

Half the time, to average people who don't know or care about cars, when they see some kid driving an RSX with a Honda badge, they just think someone's retarded. I highly doubt they'd grasp the owner's intent... ("JDM, yo!")

The only time I ever saw a re-badged vehicle that I thought looked moderately cool was when I was driving down Crowchild, and a clean looking, modified Tiburon passed me with the Superman emblem.

Superman > Hyundai

I just shake my head when I see Toyotas that have "Powered by Vtec" stickers. Or Kia's that have the GTR emblem. Or Dodge stealths that have a Mitsu logo.

heh

Personally I think if you're feeling an itch to modify your emblem, and don't just want a different colored "H", you'd be best off debadging your car. (But remember to follow through by filling the holes and getting a repaint so you dont get rust, riceboys!)

I'm all for giving your ride a unique appearance, but for the love of jebus, do it with some class!

...I thought honda's/acura's had the metal prongs for the emblem..with holes in the trunk they plug into, which would require a some puddy and paint. Much cheaper to switch it than shave it. But I wouldn't do either...

hehe.
Next you should add a sticker. you'll get 45.8 more horsepowers. Might I suggest "Powered by Vtec"?
