Broken Pinky Toe

I need some advice on how to take care of a broken pinky toe. Took a slapshot to the foot yesterday and it wasn't sore enough from keeping me from playing the rest of the game. However, when I got home, my pinky toe is swollen, purple, and quite sore. I buddy taped it to the next toe as it seems like this is the only thing that can be done? Did some google searches and it seems that there isn't much else that can be done unless you're an extreme case (ie, toe pointing in weird direction). Any advice on how to take care of this?

if the toe is straight just leave it taped up there isn't anything else that can be done

^yep. There isn't much you can do to fix a broken toe. Just be careful, wear shoes that won't squish it and keep it buddied up with the other toe.

Yup, just keep the toe straight make sure you wear shoes with lots of room. When I broke my toe, it took a couple weeks for it to heal to a point where I could bend it again.
