Windows Systems Analyst

Reporting to the Manager, IT Infrastructure Management, the successful candidate will be accountable for large-scale enterprise infrastructure management, configuration and deployment of Microsoft Windows based infrastructure.

Accountabilities:

• Responsible for the configuration and management of Windows NT4/2000/2003/2008 domains, messaging and infrastructures.

• Project deployments to a variety of infrastructure including but not limited to web services, COM+/DCOM, CMS and BizTalk

• Active Directory Group Policy administration (creation, application, troubleshooting)

• Provide Tier-3 level support to internal customers and liaise with other Operations Support groups to reach a timely and thorough resolution

• Prepare and maintain technical documentation (i.e. build reports, operational procedures, change control, recommendations and progress reports) and assist with cross-training team members

• Participate in complete system builds, upgrades, migrations, code deployments, capacity planning and patch management

• Additional duties as required

Required Skills and Qualifications:

• Degree/diploma in computer science (or related discipline) complemented by a minimum of 5 years in a role administering, implementing and designing Windows based infrastructure systems

• Proven experience and knowledge of Enterprise level Active Directories, Exchange, Application systems, deployment, management, troubleshooting and industry best practices

• Previous experience with an enterprise server and user environment is an asset

• Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Clustering, IIS, Terminal Services, Exchange, Active Directory, SharePoint, COM+, BizTalk, DNS, WINS, DHCP and scripting are all requirements

• Competence in problem resolution and an understanding of customer impact and business needs

• Enterprise experience with VMWare ESX server and other VMWare products considered an asset

• A positive, “can-do” attitude and customer focused approach that will enable you to deal with challenging situations with integrity, empathy and sincerity
