...But I can't remember the name of the place. They basically make fun of speaker city messing with your car and bring it to them to get fixed.

I have a GM vehicle that had some aftermarket device removed and the power lock switches in the doors don't work, but they work perfect with the factory keyfob. It's not the switches, but last night I removed 3 additional wires that went to nothing but were tapped in 3 separate wires under the dash.

Outside of speakers and installing decks I hate anything having to do with wiring or tracing a problem because of it.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks fellas.

The AD on the radio is for quinn security, I highly recommend NOT taking your car there how-ever.

You would be better off letting an untrained monkey fix your problems..............(from what I hear).

If you had an aftermarket start/alarm removed then fixing your locks is easy.

in the Drivers kick panel or undearneath the drivers dash speaker you should find 2 automotive relays, they will look aftermarket.

Take pins i beleive 30 and 87 or 87a, you should be able to tell which are the factory wires and reconnect the factory wires back together, as simple as that.

if you dont want to do that, take it to a best buy or futureshop, tell them the story and they should be able to fix it for you (probably around 50 bucks to do so)

Thanks for the help and pointers. I know of the relays you're talking about, but I couldn't see them on the driver side.

I'll call auto temp down in the south to see if I can get it in there since they're close to me.

Before I do that I'll look for what you said - so if they're disconnected that wouldn't prevent the factory remote from initializing the actuators?

the remote is probably mastered from a module where as the relays go in line from the switch.

The one by deerfoot casino, I was talking to a Kevin guy there who has a "technician" willing to look at it. :)
