Come and see us for Talon upgrade parts. We have done many of them and are in the process of building one for ourselves.

See you soon :) www.tunerworks.com

whats the labour involved with replacing the timing belt?
and are there any good wrecking yards around that have tons of these cars?

- sorry about the bombardment of questions- very new to these cars

Timing belt is about 700 to replace.......You must replace it because if it breaks then all your valves are bent and then your basicly looking at a new engine or the minium new head with valves ...you should change it every 100,000 kms. Also allow your turbo to cool before turning off the car...If your timing belt does go and your engine does break..then YOKO engines in calgary has cyclone engines with turbo's for cheap. Also on the 1st gen cars the 1st to 2nd gear syncro's have a chronic problem of going bad...

Internet for parts and install them yourself or with help from local DSMers. Auto Diagnostic for service and repairs that you can't do yourself.

If you don't want to spend the money on a turbo timer you can just chill in your car for a few minutes. If you do want a turbo time you can grab a cheap one for like 100$ new at any tuner shop in calgary. Go to speedtech they will help you out!

30 seconds for normal driving and 1 min if you hit boost a few times. A few minutes is just overkill unless you really bagged your car on the track or something.

when you drive that turbo hard, try to idle it for a couple of min. to cool the turbo, ( turbo timer) the turbo will last longer
