Any Beyond members participate as part of this program? If you have, please share your experiences starting from the application process to what you thought about the overall experience. I have also heard that they are looking for non-asian applicants.

Out of curiosity, why are you looking into the Jet program instead of getting hired on through places like eslcafe.com?

I`ve never heard of eslcafe.com before. But I know of some people who went through the JET programme.

Chronicles of a black dude from the States doing the JET program, the articles are classic. I think he eventually just stayed there. :rofl:

I would look into getting the job yourself. There are so many places that you can look online for teaching positions around the world. Eslcafe has tons of them. There are lots of website places out there. Two of my staff taught english in other countries for a while. One was based in Korea and she adored it. She worked at a university there. The other one was based in Brazil. Same thing, loved it. I have a friend of mine currently in Northern Mexico at a university there. He got that job of eslcafe. Just be careful of where you would be placed. Make sure they are a reputable school and check to make sure you can live decently on what they pay.
