View Full Version : UNREAL crash, driver walks away

"He was going 95 mph when he went off. Brake failure, not driver error. The Noble has no trouble hitting 150 mph.

This post shd be incentive to ramp up on safety equipment. The driver apparently credited the HANS, his cage and the RaceTech seat for helping him survive. As one poster noted in response to concern about the $2,500 seat cost: "The wheelchair will set you back more than that."

That fence didn't do much to stop the car.... luckily there weren't any spectators on the other side of the fence.

Wow, glad to see he was ok. I can't imagine something like that happening to street racers (or anyone without a cage for that matter), like insta-death :(

No way they are paying for that car to be fixed, I mean they were to cheap to paint 84 on the car they used tape.

Kinda reminds me Mark Webber's flight at Le Mans. Flew 500 feet off the track, about 40 feet in the air, walked away. Safety equipment saves lives.

Also, really heartening to see the safety dudes already at full run by the time the car hits the safety fence.   for safety people that have great reaction times.

The guy who posted these pictures drives a Noble M400, the car that "was" nice was a Nissan 350Z.

 for safety rescue on that one! And safety equipment, you can clearly see what the cage did for the structure of the cabin area.

only if you also have a helmet, HANS, a real racing seats + 5 point harness properly installed. If not, the roll cage will kill you before the car comes to a stop
