So i have stock options through work and other stocks that i currently hold. With the stocks going crazy, and i can't stand to watch my losses grow more, I tried logging into my account online to send orders to sell my stocks and liquidate my holdings.

Lo and behold, i goto the website, and can't even log in, and have not been able to all day, nor can i get through on the phones.

what the fuck can i do? I have zero access to anything right now and i have been trying since noon today....

You are obviously taking on too much risk for your risk tolerance.

You should thank them. Selling now is a bad move.

It's funny how human emotion causes us to do the exact opposite of what we should be doing during a market downturn.

:werd: Won't believe the number of times I have had to explain the above to clients, in the last week alone.

Well.. it really depends on what you're selling. Companies that don't have a feasible cash flow nor assets won't have their stock value go any higher. Ditch those and pick up companies, either already in your portfolio or not, that have strong PROVEN growth and earnings that. You just need to know WHAT to sell.

When you say it, loo-sing right haha

Anyway, no one likes to lose money. Everyone is straight tripping out. They just want to see their money go up, up, up with no downside risk.

OK a solid company will ride out any downturn so relax people. Unless you own a really shitty stock, yeah, then sell it fast. lol
