hey, well i'm from saskatchewan and i'm looking into buying a car from alberta. it is from a dealership and the question i had was i'm i going to be paying gst tax at the dealership and once i have it plated in sask i'm i paying pst tax? another question is when i do go pick up the vehicle is just getting a day permit for the day to go pick up the vehicle good enough to drive it down? any feedback would be great. thank you!

Yes, pay gst in ab, then pst is sask.
Yes in transit sticker is good enough to get you back. :)

nbaker gave you the right answer. one little detail that you might want to know about ahead of time: get your SGI insurance on the car before you leave. Their temporary insurance is good for 30 days. Alberta is not quite like Sask when it comes to registering and insuring. The transit permit you get here is just a temporary licence plate.
