Yup, it's a common swap apparently. There's another one that's always parked on 8th ave between 5th and 6th st. S.W.

I think that's the guy that wanted to race rage2 in his m3. As I remember the words he said were (to rage) "You don't stand a chance buddy"

rage, "I've got 700 horse"

Guy - silent... turns off at next intersection.

The monster miata kit has been around for over a decade. I help a guy in Edmonton source out for for his project.

Was pushing a fully built 5.0 Ford V8 with aluminum Edelbrock heads, and Kenne Bell blower. If i remember correctly, it was making 560whp.
I had a ride in it.....at half throttle going about 60k, the cars would start going down the road sideways, smoking the tires :burnout:

It's white btw

Here's a vid you may enjoy

Thats true IF it does have a V8...I was laughing under the assumption it does not...cause look at those hood vents..would a V8 owner actually do that? and yes, yes they prolly would

He may have the TQ but doubt the chassis can handle towing.

Monster Miatas are awesome (although I've only seen LS1s, not any Ford 5.0s). I've seen rotary swapped Miatas that were pretty scary as well.

That would be one crazy fun car to drive. He probally has the hitch to pull some little motorcycle trailer or something small like that.

Why a V8 Miata?

Well, it's a convertible for starters.
One of the best quality cars Mazda has ever made.
In stock form has phenominal handling - although I suspect the added weight in the front would throw the handling off some.
It's a definate sleeper car - as the stock ones were anything but fast.

If I wasn't 225+ pounds, I'd totally consider a monster miata. I just can't fit in them with any reasonable room to move.

If it were mine, I would have skipped the badges.

I like this except that I wouldnt have done this up if I did swap a 302 into it

The thing about that car is... It will make people lol at it and rev on it seeing the lund stick on hoodscoops from canadian tire.

Then the majority of them get smoked.

Makes sense to have its headlights open like that too, a sleeper should have sleepy eyes.

That's way better than humiliating a douchebag kid, that guy should be old enough to know better than to act like a moron! He must have felt stupid, like when a newb takes on GTS-Jeff over Ramadan.

I just saw this Miata on the way home today. Look hilarious with the scoops. Guy shoulda left it as a sleeper.

When your driving a car like a Miata, especially if your a heterosexual male, you gotta prove you still have big cahonas

haha ya, I'm pretty sure that's the guy. It was so funny, I was checking the car out and he's telling me I got no chance. He should know better... I'm rage2 bitch!

BTW monster miata's are fun. I've driven one before. Thing just wants to spin out all the time.

I remember seeing a blown V8 red MGB when I lived in Calgary. Only saw it a couple times, and this was years ago, but it looked like a 6-71 sitting on a SBF with 3 nice big red butterflies to top it off.

Anyone who's seen the engine compartment of one of those cars can appreciate what a shoehorn job that must have been.

i followed one off the exit ramp of southland to southbound deerfoot a week ago or so. Red with V8MAZDA license plate. Holy crap he put his foot into it on the ramp and the entire car got squirrelly and I was following him at 80km/h.
