Great send-off though. Good game and incredible ceremonies. I have a feeling that the new stadium will be even better, but it won't have the history. Ah well.

I had my name on the Scoreboard for my b-day, at the stadium during the season opener in '06. Lot of history but waaay overdue for a new venue.

I snapped a few pictures of the old and new stadium a few months ago, are they still going to be using the old one for anything?

They're keeping the actual field and the seats behind home plate. Everything else will be turned into parkland.

I don't think they'd make Yankees stadium's last public venue a hockey game, lol.

A friend got me a commemorative shot glass from NY while he was down there about two weeks ago. Should make for a nice piece of memorabilia in the future.

Glad I got to experience the history in the house that Ruth built before itll be torn down. Went in August to see a Angels - Yankee game. Left the game with a nice foul ball catch of a ball which was a great way to top off the trip to NYC.

The ball is kinda cool to celebrate the last year it has an small authentic stamp of Yankee Stadium 1923-2008.

I think the last event is a concert..
Also I belive they are going to keep the "diamond" for a inner city ball field.
