I went to a private investor meeting last week and one of the companies is involved with these guys - http://www.coatesengine.com/csrv.html

Pretty interesting tech...using them in a few high performance cars and are achieving incredible efficiency and high power.

I imagine as each "valve set" rotates, it opens a path between the intake manifold/cylinder, and the cylinder to the exhaust, as you can see there's 2 ports on each sphere, one on the side, and one on the top.

Yah, the dudes layed out all the moving parts in a "typical" head and then had just the layout of this new head technology. 30% fuel efficiency increase and HIGH rpm (14,500) safe.

All the bearings are sealed and oil no longer required (only in the block) so oil changes are estimated at every 50,000kms.

They showed a video and the set up is incredibly quiet.

That's awesome looking technology. The company is down to .25/share on the market - yet their site says they are not listed anywhere..... weird.

Not sure what the logistics are for producing this kind of technology, but it really seems like they might be onto something. No oil changes for what - 50-60k? Impressive.

Not sure about the listing, I can check it out.

Interesting, but without oil I can see a few issues with how the "valves" would seal to the head, and how it would deal with wear / buildup on those surfaces. They say one vehicle has been driven over 150,000 miles, but if it was taken apart to be inspected every couple thousand miles that would mean nothing.

Highly subjective stuff, and so much of it sounds like propaganda, just like the HHO and other miracle engine / fuel sites. I'd be interested to see it in action, and adopted by a major automotive / engine manufacturer.
