Just curious as to what you guys do to winterize your car each and every year, with the snow only a couple weeks away and whatnot.

Put on winter tires.

what, snow is a couple of weeks away? damn........ I thought we'd go all the way to halloween without snow

I also put on winter tires, when I get them, that is.

I lower my car until the front lip rubs against the ground, then proceed to plow snow for the entire neighbourhood.

Put an extension cord and a snow brush in my car.

I put mine away on Thanksgiving last year and missed out on 6 weeks of driving. It didn't snow till late November last year.

When it snows, I'll put it away.

The thing is that the snow usually melts or goes away after a day, even after a BIG dump usually. So I am going to try and drive my car as long as possible. I made it to late November last year!! Something elso to consider is the temperature, when it gets cold out, your summers are rock hard and provide limited grip.

Slap on the Rota's and throw the stock hood, bumper and headlights back on. Done.

Add in a little e-brake action and I'm set haha.

Massive bump, I've decided to do a school project on this subject but with a twist; What's the best way to winterize your car on a student budget?

Is anyone on here a mechanic or knows a mechanic that would be down with helping me out?

Plug your car into your neighbors outlet late at night, and remove it before they see it in the morning :dunno:

Chad Gibson, You could buy some GM synromesh because i know your fluid is toast, when poor transmission fluid gets cold it makes it very hard on your transmission in minus 20 degree start ups!

Drive off with -40 windshield fluid from Petro can before they notice. Save $5.00 right there.
