You should find out the import laws before
you ask.

Do you have any details about the cars?
What type of ride do you want?
Are they both 4WD?
Which model of Evo IX are you pricing?
How many KMs on them?
Etc.

Assuming everything equal and for year 'round driving in Calg (snow, ice, gravel, and asphalt): I'd pick Evo IX.

Do you want to go fast/look fast, or look like a baller y0'! Not that G35 is REALLY special, but when your average person looks at it that is probably what they would think.

If being driven year round and you want killer performance, definitly Evo!

But really comes down to what you want in the car.
Personally, I would take the EVO...

This is like C&D's stupid comparo of the Evo and the 135i.

EVO and STi are comparable
G35 is comparable to a 135i

But an EVO and a G35

Do you wana go fast in a Turbo-4 AWD or do you wana cruise in a G35?

i voted for the g35 just cuz it's more "adult" of the two, per se.

but for calgary's weather, unless you've got a winter beater, the evo would be a good choice, imo.

Totally different car man. One's more luxury and is nothing in comparison for handling or speed (G35) vs. relatively harsh ride but is really quick, handles well, and would have a decent resale value.
Evo IX imo

Well if you are really concerned with winter the car that comes with AWD, 3 differentials, and Tarmac/Gravel/Snow adjustability would be the obvious choice.

Evo 9? I thought that was on the list of inadmissable vehicles...In either case though, go with the Evo.

Evo has been admissable in Canada since July now.

I'd be wary of buying a Mitsu in Canada. I'm not comfortable enough with how established it is here.

Others would argue differently but I remember there was talk of Mitubishi closing up shop a little while back. If that ever happened, service and parts would be a hassle.

Really? Well then, I know which car I'm getting next. Thanks for clearing that up.

Well they went from selling no cars to selling about the same amount of cars in Canada annually as Subaru in only five years. It's actually been a fairly successful venture so far.
