not a bad looking e30. Its going to be slow compared to your car, and you might have a lot of issues with this car. Looks to be in good shape though, i suggest you get it inspected before you make a decision.

what kind of issues do these cars bring in these years? i would definitely get it inspected first. thanks for the advice.

The E30 is far more reliable than the newer BMWs. They are pretty well engineered and they don't have a whole lot of features that can go wrong. The 325e has a very sluggish engine. You'd be better off finding a 325i, but since you're trading it's not really an option.

I used to have an 1989 325i, I really loved the car. The 325e has a different engine, or it is detuned to make it more fuel efficient than the i's, cant remember the details but it is slower. I had around 150k when i sold it and I was starting to have a lot of small annoying problems. It was in the shop every 2nd month. The final straw was when it wouldnt start if it was colder than 5 degrees unless it was plugged in. Looking back I wish I was more patient and hung on to the car, as it was very solid and a lot of fun to drive...
