Compustar issues

So I recently decided to try using the auto arm. It works with the exception of when i'm at home. car is parked in garage. keys are on my desk, pretty far away but it unlocks it self, makes a little tune and then locks it self a couple seconds later with another tune.
any ideas why?

and how far away do I have to be away from my car to auto lock?

Just press and hold the 1 key to turn off that feature. It's more of a PITA than anything.
