Citrus Juice in my eye!!

This morning I was very happy to see that my dad had brought back a box of Mandarin Oranges on the daily shopping trip. Sure enough I go all in and somehow the juice from the mandarin goes right into my eye! Its been hurting like a total bitch this entire day.

Any experiences?

Rinse with lemon juice to neutralize it.

Edit: I'm kidding with the lemon juice, don't use that... just flush it with water for a long long time with your eye open and it should be ok.

Thanks for the advice guys, tried flushing it out with water, saline, and using artificial tears. Fuck, I guess just stop being a baby and tough it out... Watch me go blind or something hey?

Try cutting jalapeno peppers and forgetting to wash your hands and then rubbing your eyes, awesome experience :cry:

Dump some baking soda into your eye and rub it in. The basicity of the baking soda will neutralize the acidic citrus juice :thumbsup:

At least it wasn't hot sauce or pepper oil extracts. I was eating these volcano wings from some pub and they were spicy as hell. I went to the washroom to wash my hands and wash my face and I totally forgot that the sauce burns the skin. My face was hurting for a good 30mins after I touched it. Never again will that happen. :banghead:

what you wanna do is make a little water puddle in your hand and put your eye into this puddle. open and close a few times.. it might work..... You could also cover it with a cloth so it is closed and not exposed to light.

Actually it ended up being pretty bad, I had to go see a doctor, I was in excruciating pain whenever I blinked - Thats one crazy piece of pulp. All better now, I got some drops now I am all good.
