Red Light/Speed cameras

Anyone know where that link is for all the locations of these? I was 16ave and 8th street in the north and saw a big flash go off. It for sure was not for a red light one, do these have speed functionality as well?

They only take pics for running red lights, not speeding.

From what I've heard, they need to prove 2 things:

1 - your car NOT in the intersection when the light is yellow
2 - your car IS in the intersection when the light is red

44 locations, 36 cameras, if you saw two flashes expect a ticket :S

16 Av x 8 St NW ?...

The intersection also has to have traffic signals... the ones in that intersection, being dark (unlit) and covered with trash bags, aren't even active yet. I wouldn't worry about them.

Well there was just one flash, I for sure did NOT run any lights, as for the speed I was actually probably going around 20km/h as i was slowing down.

Two flashes as well happen if you approach an intersection with a red light at a higher than usual speed (of course while coming to a stop). It's anticipating that you are going to go into the intersection, hence the two photos for confirmation of the unlawful act.

I'm sure you know what the two are for, I'm just pointing out that numerous people including myself have noticed the flashes going off if approaching an intersection at a higher rate of speed and come to a stop - yet recieved nothing in the mail (As in they never ran the red anyways).

i wonder if he meant 16 Ave x 10 ST NW

There IS a red light camera at that intersection (gets east bound traffic)
