I think the prices you're getting are too high, this looks to be the right price for Rota's:

Those prices seem incredibly low gpomp, even after conversion to canadian pesos. There was a group buy going with the subaru club about 6 months ago, prices were in the $240-$250 per wheel range for 17s. $315 seems quite high.

has anyone ordered rims from an american dealer and shipped to calgary? I dont want customs taking a huge bite outta my ass for it, thats the only reason...That or get them sent to my dad in denver then go pick them up down there...any opinions/suggestions?

I bought my old set of rims from the states, had them sent to Montana and drove down and picked them up from there. It cost me 1 tank of gas, and $60 GST.

Shipping would've been $150 + Duty + GST, so I think its worth it.

My uncle bought rims from the states. Dunno why he chose UPS though, cuz I think he had to pay a couple hundred bucks more for all those extra BS fees.

But everything came in time, no hassle so that was good news.

For my car parts from the states, FedEx seems to charge less on duty than UPS.

shipping from the states to Canada using UPS will rape you with custom fees like you cant believe... Fedex seems to do a much better job for international orders since they use an external brokerage house to clear items through. But the absolute BEST way to go is ship it via UPS from the states to a buddy who lives in the states, then have them reFedex it back to you, but write it off as "used auto parts" and declare it like $100 total and then you only have to pay like $7 GST and minimal brokerage fees since they are proportional to your sale item price. Hope that helps cause i learned it the hard way when i keep ordering parts from the states... :D
