Driving up 14th st ramp onto glenmore I saw a Van with a couple old guys in it and it had a CANADA license plate with a 5 digit number like 72787 or something like that.

I've never seen this before, anyone know what the deal is?

I googled it and nothing came up. :dunno:

Military and Federal Government vehicles get those plates.

confirmed. First place I saw this on were the military trucks roaming around town.

Federal plates.

I've seen them on military vehicles, NRCan vehicles, Parks Canada, even on a revenue Canada car...

Read the page, those are ones issued for Canadian Forces in Europe.

The ones I've seen domestically have black lettering on a white background. Similar to the one below but with some differences:

hmm... iv never seen either but the one i posted is the one that popped up with google so i figured it could be it...
