I wouldn't say it's the best looking car but...................

That's not surprising that the G35 Sedan came in last in that group. I was surprised that the TL>S4>335i though.

The tires totally gave the TL an unfair advantage on the track. Not to mention the TL was probably designed on that track since the TL is built and designed in that same facility.

man acura takes a step forward with its performence and a huge step back with its style. I just dont get it. the car looks like a huge prototype mule with no design cue what so ever. Who cares if it can beat out the competitors on the track when everyone on the road will be laughing at the POS design acura brought to the table.

What is with the grotesque grille? It doesnt even seemed shaped to serve a purpose, except to be ugly.

Here's the problem.

You are comparing a prototype against 4 model in the 3rd to 5th year of production. If you don't come out ahead and by a wide margin, you're doing something wrong.

A supercharged, rear bias with vectoring S4 Quattro coming out in the same time frame, those would be good comparison.

But I can say it right now, I would even take the new A4 2.0T over this new TL any day. Interior is just impressive.

its a good car in every department except the looks, although id still rather have the Audi.

hopefully the after market (Mugen?) will take care of the grille... because aside from the grille the car doesnt even look that bad.

Looks GREAT! I love the bold new look Acura's come up with. Sounds like a winner and looks like a winner for sure. It's a sweet evolution of the TL.

Acura had to do something different since every Korean and lesser Japanese maker was copying some of their styling cues. I love the new 'shield' grille. Tuner-teens and burnout-boys can't afford TLs. Acura had to class it up and give it more distinct styling to attract it's target buyer who can afford the TL -- that said, they had to maintain a measure of sexiness and edge-iness as well. Acura's succeeded I say.

Yet most people that CAN afford one of these will buy a Lexus or BMW over an Acura.

Has anyone noticed that the new Acura new 'Shield' front end bears a passing resemblance to the Pontiac Aztec? You aren't going to sway luxury buyers from German, Lexus, or even Infinity offerings when your car looks like an autobot. Acura is in a slump in the US and the new questionable styling will not help.

I wasn't a huge fan of the new Acura styling at the beginning either, but I've seen a few new TSXs rolling around town and the styling is growing on me. I'll wait to reserve judgement until I see one in person.

The performance of the new TL is impressive though

Funny, that's kind of what I thought of the Nissan GTR when it came out.

the fix to this is to make sure the TL makes a good apperance in the new transformer movie. Then you will have all the transformer fan boy driving one including me lol

That would be cool. But unfortunately Transformers 2 looks like it's going to be another GM love fest. :thumbsdow

They need to ditch Shia Lebouf (sp?) and sign on some decent car makes and it'd make for a more enjoyable movie.

Performance looks great, I'm glad Acura finally made the TL AWD, however the looks are aweful. That car is freakin ugly.
