autovalue , if you have an old one then just visually compare ( for SR swap/SRrad i used a lower 91 Caravan hose, fit perfect  ), if not they have a catalogue year, model, engine specific

yeah i tried dayco and no stock anywhere i got the upper rad hose without a hitch.

yeah its for my ca18det swap

but i need a ka24de lower/upper hose to make this work but worst cause scenario, i say fuck it and get some flex hose to make it work.

THE GOVERNATOR

i dunno i dont think they will work.

the top rad hose is the same, but the lower rad hose on the ka24e is actually 1.5 inches shorter and 11/32 smaller opposed to the ka24de.

alright evan i'll try it out.

just my luck, it will probally work, but my hose will have a small leak.

haha just be careful in the removal.

and look up some pictures, compare ka24e to ca18det, youll see the orientation is exactly the same. I pulled the stock ka24e out of another customers car and put in ca18det using his stock rad, and hoses, your top hose i believe will actually need a bit of a trim, bottom one will be identical

true enough man looks almost exact.

honestly it was easier to find out wich belts i can use to replace on the ca18det than finding a new ka24de lower rad hose.

on the plus side another month and my car will be ready to up cant wait, i'll get some pics or make a vid.

haha ca18det belts is easy, take the belts off, take them to a parts store, and have them match it in length (=

THE GOVERNATOR

yup.

hey i was always wondering the ca18det usually comes with a a/c unit. my question is i dont have ac in my car, so can i remove the ac system by either remove the system completely or just remove the pulley an and run a different belt. or just leave it and run it as normal?

sr20s14zenki

Take the ac pump and bracket off, voila, youre done. it normally runs 3 belts, 1 for water pump and alternator, one for power steering, and one for a/c i believe....so just get rid of the ac belt

yeah i thought that would be the easy way

i'd love too....but sadly i actually called them to let them know i was coming to pick it up this weekend. but i got news from them. it was that my engines compression test was 100% . so i was pretty stoked to hear that but....wait theirs more sadly though the ecu's wiring harness was mangled and was not worth selling in its condition. so he then made a offer to me.

he offered to send me another ecu as he has another one coming in next week. then he said that if i wanted he could take the ecu/wiring harness of of the one thats coming in and i could have that if i want to wait a little longer.

also there gonna throw in a ca18det drive shaft, so i wont have to modify mine to fit properly.

yeah yeah i know guys....i've been pretty vague about who and what shop but i just don't wanna ruin that surprise till later

:D

You dont have to modify your driveshaft, you just remove the dust cover on the tailshaft of the transmission, takes two seconds. You can use a sr20 or ca18det driveshaft, doesnt matter, it fits inside the dust cover, but KA is no different besides removal of dust cover.

your compression test was 100%? umm that doesn't sound right haha... wouldn't a normal healthy engine be slightly less?

a ca18det is 176 psi stock, but realistically youll see around 140-160, any less than 140 and i wouldnt buy it. Ask them what the REAL numbers are. sounds pretty shady to me, thats like picking up a hooker and saying "so, are you pretty tight?" and she comes back with "im a virgin"
