How easily upgradeable is the chipset I was actually unaware that you could actually change it ? And if it was easy to do then I'd really consider your setup.

This is actually my second FX. I sold my last one in May I think. I had upgraded the CPU in that one to an x7900. It takes about 10 minutes to swap the CPU.

Best Buy stopped selling these in Canada last Feb - the demand was strong in the USA so we got shafted.

The 7811FX sells for quite a bit on eBay - about $1600. If this does not sell soon it will be headed to eBay too.

Get this and order an X7900 from China for $400 and you will be about 8800 in 3dmark06.

The 7811 screen is nice, but you won't be able to run too many games at 1900*1200. Also they have reliability issues (freezing when playing games).

BestBuy still sells this one as the P6860FX with a slightly faster CPU and 320 GB HDD versus one 250 GB HDD.

Hope this helps! :)
