EI for a commisionable sales person

Just a question with EI for sales people, 1st off can hey recieve it? 2nd can you collect with handing in your resignation or do you have to get laid off/fired? Any knowladge would be muchly appriciated.

You cannot receive EI unless you lose your job through no fault of your own (ie being laid off). You can't collect for voluntarily quitting or being fired.

Being a commission salesperson will not matter but you'll only be able to get 55% of your stated earnings.
