Does anyone know what's it like to have mantis oothecas hatching on your house? How many actually hatch and live? Do they take up residence where they hatch or do they fly away to find new territory? I think they're cool and I liked having the adult ones around the yard during the summer.
I've read that the oothecas can contain 10 - 400 :eek: eggs. I like mantises but I don't want 300 of them. I also don't want to find that I've killed a bunch of mantises by pulling out of my driveway one day or walking across my lawn in the springtime.
