Beat Niq & the restaraunt?

Anybody eaten at the place above the Beat Niq before? How's the food?
And how busy is it downstairs when the shows start?

piq niq? i've eaten there a few times and i quite enjoyed it but ive never been downstairs to beatniq before.

ooooooooooooo we go there monthly,

the prices are fair and the portions are good and the food is good too

you must get the constructed beet salad its really good, skip out on the scallops with strawberry sauce, kinda plain

if you book on a thurs/fri/sat night there is a live vocalist,

the past 4 times we went we just brought our drinks downstairs there was no cover but one time i guess it was a private event and the guy was pretty rude he demanded teh $10 cover and i said "oh we just had dinner upstairs (which usually entitles you to the free enterance to the jazz downstairs)"

he responded "so????"

lol...otherwise yeah pretty good.

as the previous poster said, you get in for free downstairs if you've eaten upstairs.

can't beleive the guy at the door said that! i've never had such an expereince there. you should've went upstairs and told the owner guy.

PIQ NIQ / BEAT NIQ is a really good place to eat. My bf and I go there periodically. The food is really tasty and the price is decent/higher.

chicken is pretty good there, friend plays there quite a bit so i dont mind paying the cover later in the night.
