"flac" files? How do I get them convertedto MP3?

I just downloaded a few gigs of "flac" files. thought I was getting mp3's.

Anyone know how I can get these working on my ipod touch?

Mac or PC?

Mac - get MacFlac. It's a 2-step process. MacFlac goes from flac to AIFF, then you can use iTunes to go from AIFF to MP3 or AAC.
