The car has been stolen at approximately 3:40pm - 3:50pm on Oct/04/2008, from 3340 32 street NE, so a young kid and a older man i'm guessing maybe the kids father came to test drive this Fairladay Z (300zx), they asked me if they could take it for a spin and i told them that the car has no insurance and they could only take it just around the parking lot, cuz i didnt have a plate. i saw them leaving the parking lot and i thought they'r going to turn around and come back, i waited for about 5-8 minutes and then i took my brother's car and went looking for them. they were gone and they still haven't returned.
description of the person:
a young white kid around 16-18 years old and a old man between the age of 40-50 years old, i'm guessing the kid's father
Description of the car:
1990 Nissan Fairlady 300zx twin turbo, 2+2, gunmetal grey
17" wheels, dual Kakimoto exhaust, tinted windows, custom decal
100,xxx km

I'm guessing that the first thing they will do is remove them.
The tail lights and rims are pretty distinctive though.

well we were closing soon so i thought they'r just gona take it around the parking lot and i didnt know a father would steal a car with his son

a business like yours should be more careful, especially with all the previous stolen cars. no excuses to not photocopy ID, AT LEAST look at it.
stop trusting people, they will understand you have a business to run. if someone comes in for a test drive and you are closing in 10 mins tell them to come back when you have time to deal with their request without rushing and making mistakes.
and if they wanna drive it around the parking lot tell them that will not tell them anything.
i get ID'd at boston pizza for a draft beer, around the parking lot with an uninsured car imo is a lot more important.

this isnt actually jdmmotorimports car, its damien from icon auto tintings car, so if this was the case, damien isnt a dealer so he probably just trusted them, he wouldnt ask for id.

Actually it is Jdmmotorimport's car. The guy from icon traded the car in to them for another car.

Any idea how long those decals were on for? If they have been on for some time, perhaps there will be paint fade if they remove them. Also, if they do a quick job of removing them, then there will most likely be markings in the area of removal.

decals have been on for at least a year, so they might leave a little fading outline if they were taken off.

fuck that's ridiculous, really similar to the stolen GTR.... these kind of people make it hard to have trust in today's society.. sucks because it makes it alot harder for the normal people to drop by the shop and test drive a car....

the car was found on 42 street NE by the police officer that wrote the report, good thing i showed him a picture of the car when he came to write the report
nothing was stolen, no body damages, the key was in the ignition when the officer found it
they curbed it pretty bad though

They'll take sample of the DNA you would've left behind everywhere just from sitting in the car (yours will be the least degraded since you were the last one in the car), cross check it against the database they keep of every citizen's DNA and will be knocking on your door in about a week. You're screwed.

id imagine that the father and son maybe didnt have bad intentions of stealing the car? but more or so a little worried that once they hit the curb they got scared and left the car because they didnt want to pay for the damages

Could be, but if you read the first post, they were never allowed to leave the parking lot as the car wasnt insured or registered.
