I try not to make JDM jokes. They are, after all, just cars.
But I think I see where it comes from now:

http://www.modifiedlife.com/john-nguyen-2006-honda-s2000/

Here's the gem of an intro:

A true car enthusiast, like John Nguyen, immerses himself in his passion for building cars. John transformed his 2006 Honda S2000 from an American roadster into a Japanese masterpiece. If you’re not quite sure what that means, grab a pen and listen up cause you’re about to be schooled in the art of JDM.

Hahaha, there's so many thousands poured into just the aero of that car that it's sick. I could have a 400 WHP car with the money that guy spent on his body kit and hood, and forget the wheels, spoiler, and hardtop.

Wait a minute...

Exhaust gases are expelled by a Berk Technology Header, Berk Technology Test Pipe and a J’s Racing Circuit 70RS Titanium Exhaust System.
That's not JDM!!! Blasphamy!!!

Sounds like a ricer to me. Just because hes doing it to an s2000, without chrome everything, still makes it rice. Sure a lot of it is functional, but a lot seems unnecessary.

If it was my car, I'd have left the vinyls off the car, but otherwise, its form following function. Purpose built for the track, and I don't really consider it RICE with the exception of those vinyl decals.

The vinyls are necessary to keep the sponsors happy.

And there is also a bunch of Muz/rick's/modifry and none of those guys are JDM.

What a waste of money. Unique? Just like every other J's car with the same decals....Cool.

I like it, minus the decals, but the decals are to make it look like the J's Racing S2000, and the other decals are for sponsorship. Sure, he could have gone FI and gotten 400whp, but with a car like the S2000, it's not always about power, but it would be nice though! I'm sure this car handles like it's on rails too.

In the end, to each his own.... At least he didn't get knock off J's parts lol

Did no one else read the whole thing hahahah

Looks ok but still....you can't take a car seriously with sentences like these:

Feeling that he could squeeze out more horsepower from the potent S2000 engine, John boosted power output by the addition of a Hondata Intake Manifold Gasket and a Hondata ECU Flash.

Maybe if it was an intake MANIFOLD, and maybe I don't know enough about honda's, but I was under the impression a 'flash' was just a reprogramming, is this the same as getting a whole Hondata ECU? But with only Intake and Exhaust as power adders, is that even worth it??

It's more of a "baller" thing to add a $2000 intake to get -3 hp.
