I'm trying to hunt down a new driver for my graphics chipset in my laptop. The driver is about a year old, so I know there is probably a new one (laptop is only 3 months old). I can't find it though.

Card: NVidia GeForce 9500M GS
Laptop: Asus M51 SN

The NVidia website has the chipset:

http://www.nvidia.com/object/geforce_9500m_gs.html

but no drivers. I tried downloading the standard 9000 series driver but it won't work. The only reason I'm doing this is I'm having some trouble with external displays and I *know* Nvidia has updated other drivers to fix this (my old computer at home could).

Thanks guys/gals!

Try these ones.

These are modified Nvidia drivers to include the mobile inf driver information so the Nvidia drivers will go in.

go to Asus' website and download the driver on their site at ca.asus.com In particular with laptops, it's better to get the driver from the manufacturer's site rather than where the video card's from. This is because it may be programmed differently than the stand alone video cards you stick into a box.

Hope this helps.

^ true, especially for laptops the manufacturer should always have the drivers for their products, i'm guessing because they are built in at the factory with them, the onus is on them to provide drivers whereas a PC GPU can be replaced with one off the shelf so it would be Nvidia or ATi's responsibility. I ran into this problem when i first got my Qosmio, found the drivers @ toshiba, but that Nvidia driver widget works great if you have a PC

oh ya, i don't know what OS you have so here
