I'm having a hard time deciding on which vehicle I should consider purchasing, I'm not a millionaire so these choices are based on a mix of style/economy not luxury. I do however need a car that looks good and is somewhat reliable. I realize the choices are someone off-the-wall, but it's my top three nonetheless.

So, which one would you choose?

Note: This is not a repost, I've already determined #1, now it's on to #2.

I would take the Grand Prix if it has the 3800 engine. If the Stratus or Sebring have the 2.7 L engine, stay away

Just because you eliminated one of the 4 choices doesn't mean you didn't repost the same topic.

Why do you need to make a new poll to eliminate each car? What if every beyond member just did that? do you realize how many threads that would create just so that indecisive people can choose a car they probably won't end up keeping?

Sigh. I have to do it. :repost: :closed:

Yes, the 6 won, but I think it's because it was the newest and most expensive of the bunch. As I said before, I'm not made of money so I'll need a second choice.

As for the Geo...It may be fuel efficient but it's terribly ugly and I'd be embarrased to pull in to work with it.

there are many used 6 on the market. If u see a 6 that is out of your price range, your second choice would be a cheaper (older with perhaps more km) 6. I, to be honest, wouldn't touch the other cars on your list... but that's just me.

Hey - nothing wrong with the Sebring or Grand Prix. Not top-of-the-line cars, but like he says, he's not made of money...

OP: If the 6 was too expensive, then why put it in the original mix? Can you not just take the advise of those who DIDN'T vote for the 6 instead of creating a new thread?

The icing on the cake is when you act like an ass when people question why you did what you did. "Don't read the post". Well, unfortunately, nobody realizes it's a repost and that they already answered the question until they look at the thread Sherlock.

The Grand Prix will be a bit easier to wrench on than the Cirrus, and a lot easier than the Sebring. Just make sure all the panels fit, all the lights work (including backlight on the radio) and there are no missing screws or bizarre squeaks when you take corners.

But really, if you don't need a car right now and these are your only three options, I'd keep looking. The Sebring is probably the worst car ever made by a domestic manufacturer, and the Cirrus is a definite runner-up.

I'd say Sebring if it was the 2001 Coupe 3.0l or a 95-99 420a 5spd

EDIT: My 99 Sebring has the 2.5l V6, the transmission is the a604, its a farely weak transmission but like any other vehicle if you maintain it and change fluid regularly it will be fine, other than that the car is just a dd.

From your list of three I pick: Pontiac Grand Prix.

The Sebring and Cirrus are grandparent cars, plus their Chryslers. Chrysler is a bad idea all around. The GP is an obvious pick for the reasons mentioned above by others.

Although have you thought about fuel and insurance? One of the reasons you're probably looking at these cars is because of the obvious interior space and power. For your own sake, maybe take a quick look at slightly smaller cars with less power. Also it depends on the condition of these cars, but you could save a bit on fuel and insurance.

Thank treg. The only thing I worry about with the Grand Prix is visibility. Not sure if it's anything like a sunfire, but if it is then all one can see out of the windshiled is a big clunkly hood. Another thing is extremely poor build quality (plastics, seats). It's probably the most stylish of the three though.
