Took the day off work today...luckily. Looking out at the condo maintenance people outside my complex right now. They brought in this gigantic leaf collection truck, hoping to clear the lawns of leaves. Poor guy... looks so helpless out there. Almost comedic, in a way. I'd personally just sit in my truck until the wind is over.

The storm took out the lights on Crowchild and 14th street. Got stuck in traffic for 30 minutes cuz of it.

Just got home (south calgary) from working in west calgary (signal hill area). Fuck it was windy out there. The worst part was on my way home down sarcee trail a huge fucking liberal campaign sign flew onto the hood of my work truck and blocked 2/3 of my windshield. Managed to pull over and it blew off and across the road before I even opened my door to grab it. Stupid fucking idiots and their fucking signs.

damn - i went into work late today and when i stepped in the building all was sunny,
