LF: Free Printing Strategies at MRC

Does any one know how to get free printing, or anyway to trick the system?


Well, other than going up to the office upstairs in E wing and saying " I put in a $20.00 and it didn't deposit it into my printing account"

I needed to print out one page, and i didnt have 10 cents on me but only a 100.00 US bill, and no one will take it for change :S

P.S. I knew of a person in UofC a few years ago that always got free printing, so maybe thought this could also apply to MRC.

Only post if you have ideas.

There used to be free printing in the O-wing buuuut we abused it and they took it away haha. Although its probably too late now, just go and ask people. Other students know what its like to be in a jam.

And for future reference, the print shop takes debit ;)

If you go to the computer hall in the bottom of eb right across from the starbucks there's a computer studies lab for computer studies students to print off for free, but if the lab tech asks just mention you are in some computer classes and you should be fine.

mech engg at UC USED to get free printing.. it got cancelled this year?

Mech engg isn't free, but we get a quota for 100 pages every semester I think.

Go to the "printer" where it's at the most crowded area, post up at "printer".Look in your wallet and say" For fuck sakes, where did my change go, How am I gonna live?" Then look to the person next you and say "Hey buddy, got spare change?" I have a printer myself, but it works for the homeless most of time.

but this year the collaborated into the SSE sys. so you gotta pay SSE even to print in mech

Maybe talk to an IT guy... i know there are students that work at help desk, if you befriended one of them, i'm sure they could help.

uhh, when i went there, if you pressed the red button quick enough it wouldnt charge, however you do need money on your card to begin with

Well with UofC, engineering for sure, you got like 150 free print pages every school year. Dunno bout MRC though, sry

They changed the system. It doesn't use this anymore.
