So far, I like how McCain has said he will order the government to buy back all the bad mortgages and 'resell' them back to the citizens.

That is scary, I hope most people see it for what it is.

Also he was asked directly who he would recommend for the secretary of treasury and didnt even have an answer. Mind you neither did Obama so meh.

I like how McCain is throwing in American propaganda among his cheap underhanded attacks on Obama. I am trying to watch it but jesus christ McCain is hard to listen too.

Too much conflict of interest, won't happen.

hahahah Jesus they ask a question...Obama: good honest answer...McCain...Obama this...Obama that...What a douche. He can't come up with his own opinions on anything. Everything he says his just some very well put together words that barely mean anything. Obama is winning this hands down.

Right as I type this Obama's getting pissed at McCaine saying he wants to invade pakistan.

wait..... McCain is right! We do need to spend more of our money to help Pakistan build up their armies too. We have an extra $700,000,000,000.00 now we can donate to them.

haha...
ding... ding... ding.... round 1

they should put on bathing suits and mud wrestle their way to white house!

this format is awful!

no wonder mccain chose it, he can stick with bumper sticker slogans instead of being articulate, and he is still losing.

I commented on this in a "Gloom and doom, the market skies are falling" thread.

Think about it. All of a sudden the government sells them all back and makes well over the 700B. You'te a wise man Cosworth. :)

I think that McCain is a little better spoken, and better with the public. But I still want Obama in because I can't stand the direction Bush took the party.

I dont think either of them did a particularly good job of directly answering the questions.

That being said, John McCain's plan to buy back all the bad mortgages in the country was fucking absurd! I bet many repubs / conservatives are thinking WTF is he talking about! That is probably one of the worst possible ideas I have ever heard- buy bad mortgages at inflated prices and sell them back at current fair values? He wants a spending freeze? Cut government regulation / involvement? What?

Obama definitely showed he had balls tonight on more than one occasion but I feel that he was attacking the policy / issue rather than the person. I felt McCain rude and condescending at times and remember one moment early in the debate he made a smart remark and those dials went way down..

I would say Obama won by virtue of character and good judgement on issues, especially resonating with real life problems faced by most middle class citizens.

The previous two debates were more palatable, this one was a cheeze-festival, it's like when Ahmendinejad (sp?) said he'd destroy Israel it's all false promises and trying to sound big during election time. I hated this particular debate, it's like their last big chance to debate against each other on network TV, so they spout out so many new last minute promises and they blurt out exaggerated figures to make themselves look good or to make the opponent look bad.

Obama & Biden are clearly the winners and the better candidates over the three debates so far.

Is it just me or when McCain answered some of his questions, it was as if he was telling a story to a toddler. It makes me feel dumb when I listen to him.:banghead:

he did shake his hand right after the debate according to cnn's earlier feed, but the refusal when the crowd was surrounding them was a bit...odd

All McCain talks about is how he knows what it's like to be in a war and how everyone is his friend. Stop the fucking sweet old man persona, it's pitiful and fucking annoying.

Realistically, I do not foresee Obama winning. It's not what the rest of the world wants but Americans as a whole are fucking stupid and will elect such a leader. Unfortunately, American actions affect everyone on the globe.... HURRAYYY.
