Youth Employment Seasonal Hiring Fair
The City of Calgary Youth Employment Centre (YEC) will be hosting a Seasonal Hiring Fair. In its 10th year, this annual event provides an opportunity for youth and employers to connect; employers looking to hire staff and youth seeking employment.
The Seasonal Hiring Fair will take place on October 9, 2008 at the Youth Employment Centre.
The Fair is open to youth 15 to 24 years old.
The Fair will feature 25 employers from a variety of industries that are hiring for seasonal positions.
Employers will be accepting applications and resumes, and youth may be interviewed on the spot.
Date: October 9, 2008
Time: 3:30 to 6:00 pm

Fall 2008 City Career Fair
As part of the 2008 Corporate Recruitment strategy, The City of Calgary has demonstrated its commitment to explore diverse and innovative avenues to recruitment by entering into a partnership with the Immigrant Sector Council of Calgary (ISCC). As part of our commitment to this partnership The City is hosting a 'Fall 2008 City Career Fair' (120 KB).
The career fair will take place on , in the atrium of the Municipal Building and is marketed to the new immigrant and multiethnic community and open to the general public as well.
The event will include exhibits and workshops of interest to newcomers to Canada. Workshops will include the assessment of foreign credentials, resume critiquing and an overview of The City's interview process, to name a few…
The Career Fair is an opportunity for immigrants, newcomers, the general public and The City's various business units to become familiar with each other.
