It's barely snowing. Those guys complaining about not having winter tires calm down wait until theres actually something on the road. You should have winter tires on standby though or else you could get fucked

I went for the first time in my life last winter, an absolutely surreal experience! It was expensive (300 for half the day) but recommend it to anyone who is an adreniline junky or even just likes cruising in beautiful scenery. Going in those mountain basins is surreal!

Where did you rent from and was this in Banff?
Do they send a tourguide with you?

I have bald Falken summer tires on my CTSV. Going to Tunerworks Friday to put on some WinterSport M3. Hope it's dry cuz RWD and bald summer tires would not be fun.

Was considering the same thing... might change my mind now though.

On another note, how do you like your Mazdaspeed?

I remember when I test drove my mazdaspeed3 at a different dealership it had the stock summer tires on(bridgestone) and it was winter with a shit load of snow. I was surprised to see that it wasn't too bad to have the summer tires on during winter. But of coarse I wouldn't even try doing that UNLESS I really have no other choice. I just want to wait it out as much as I can to put the proper tires/wheels on. :D

I like my mazdaspeed a lot actually. I love having a lot of power and pretty good handling for a sports compact car. Although I gotta admit that if I can afford a G37S infiniti I would change in a heartbeat.

I drove in to work today (downtown) in the Z06 this morning. It was about 0 degrees. It was getting sideways from a 3/4 throttle roll in 2nd at 80km/h. Fun actually.

I dabble. The engine in my sled cratered at the end of last season so I sold the chassis and need to get something new this year. It's the 1st time I've been sledless in over 10 years!

I didn't say it was a surprise. I said that we know what's in store meaning it's something that we can expect...

On another note, if I were able to move out of Calgary I probably would. I wish it were that easy.
