Hey guys,

Looking to buy a place , perferably a house over a condo. I work downtown and am looking for something in the 300's. Anyone got any suggestions as to a reasonably close area... I hate the morning commute!

Thanks!

shoot me a PM with all your criteria and email and ill send you a few places that meet all your criteria.

My suggestion would be any community close to C-Train station....if you hate the commute hop on the train.

 In the 300's you can't really buy a house... The real estate market right now is still correcting down you should wait another half a year.

How long is the commute in the morning from the deep south via train? I live with my parents in the west hills and there are mornings it takes forever even from there!

Well I usually leave my place by 15 after and get there at the top of the hour and thats with walking a couple blocks. So ya I would say about 30-35 min

Edit: But it is nice that you ALWAYS get a seat. Lol. Just a piss of when you walk up the ramp and they just leave with no warning. grrrrr.

Haha, if you think that it takes forever from west hills, the deep south will seem like an eternity.

Taking the train is fine in the morning, but good luck getting on the train in the afternoon on your way home. I bet it sucks waiting for a train when it is -35 and the wind is howling.

Ya when I worked at Telus by the Ctrain I sometimes walked up to the next station so I could get on. Around 5 pm is the worst. On the bright side though theres always woman to look at.

I'm not totally against a townhouse I suppose... to tell you guys the truth I've been watching Cougar Ridge like a hawk! With the recent drop in house prices a couple of the smaller homes are getting close... I guess it comes down to how much lower prices will drop (but that's another thread!)..

PS: Thanks for the help, and the quick response!

Jay, its people like you without projectors that blind me with your HID;s lol.:poosie:

Redlyne is right, many options to choose from. Glamorgan is a good area because you will not be forced to take up to 3 busses to get downtown due to no C Train access.

Hi Magia,

I have my Inglewood townhouse for sale...

http://forums.beyond.ca/st/236836/fs-1800-sq-ft-inglewood-home-facing-the-wildlands-park-walk-to-flames-games/

Inglewood is about as close as you can get to downtown, and a great community. Shops, restaurants, pubs, etc.

If you come to me without an agent I can make a FSBO deal without any commission fees, which means I can be flexible on price.

I truly love living here, and would recommend it to anyone, it's a great area.

Unfortunately, I have to sell because the girlfriend and I are moving in together, and her giant dog (over 25lbs) is not allowed in my complex.

I also love townhouse living, if you can't quite afford a nice detached home in the inner city, a townhouse is a great compromise.

You can still have a garage, a basement, nobody walking over your head, etc.

Chris

Cougar Ridge isn't much closer than West Hills
